Spandan is a sanskrit word that signifies vitality. Often loosely translated to 'pulse' or 'alive,' it has more to do with the gift of life than living. Spandan.com gets its name from the Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) magazine, Spandan.

"1st year --night outs to pass , freaking out with aman, aakash , dargan , bajaj ,sanjeev 2nd year --robbins and KDT , vijay and shalabh 3rd year --Makker , Ravi Kant , Sarda , changing sheets in exam with Sachin Avasthi (who guessed ), Kalra etc General : 1) Makker ! 2)And of course prem paranthas 3) OBH softball cricket 4) fixing the public phone to make phone calls without putting coins --one could use broomsticks or else just tie a thread on a coin to pull it back , 5)all people from punjab , 6) late night shows @ satyam , 7)free rides to Alipur/Narela , 8)some of our hot PG's ,and 9)my hatred for the system Hated the hypocrites , loved Bhatnagar and Siddharaju"
