Welcome!
Spandan is a sanskrit word that signifies vitality. Often loosely translated to 'pulse' or 'alive,' it has more to do with the gift of life than living. Spandan.com gets its name from the Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) magazine, Spandan. Spandan.com is an unofficial MAMC website, created by me for MAMC students and aspirants. The links below can help you explore most of the website. If you can't find what you need, direct questions to me. - Nikhil Goyal

You Said It! Here's what Sudipto Pakrasi (1977) said about MAMC Memories: "Too many fond memories. Had a super time & made some great friends. After so many years , it seems like - yesterday!. Guitar in hand, Sarod in the other, winning all kinds of prizes at various festivals, jamming with all the musical geniuses we had in galore,Singing balads outside the Auditorium, Serenading outside the girls hostel,Bonfires at any pretext, Advertising, jingles, plays, Rock Music, Engelbert's Quando Quando Quando, backstage, onstage IT WAS - JUST DO IT!!Anything. The elections strategies, Proxies, hanging on in the campus, in the LTs, Labs,Coffee house etc will remain fresh forever. The DH, games, bunking, Roll No 107!! ,Auditorium,Panditji's Andas 'n'Fandas,Dating,Singing - MAMC fever lingers on & on. Do remember the time of our lives we used to have with 'Mastram nights" in the basketballcourt with full attendance!! , 'Choti si kidi" of Sanjay Kohli, with Tej Kumar Seth(God bless his soul) at his elements - the MASS Bunk we had in the 2nd Prof exams - the deadly strategic meetings in the hostel (Anyone remember the strike dharna outside Raj narain's house where we used to spend nights in the shamiana in the 1st prof days?) etc etc Always feel like a ?Maulanian? with a major edge over ?the others?!! It is a great big family. You just have to say ? I am from MAMC ? & there is magic! MAMC remains a great pleasant memory for all of us. Wish more chaps get to this site & express themselves honestly! Has anybody gone back and just stared at the college building or their hostel rooms? Just do it - I promise you - you will get back there - back in time." |
