Spandan '97 Cover Story: Euthanasia

The cover story of Spandan 1997 was on Euthanasia - in India and abroad. We tried to create an awareness of this complex issue amongst the students and doctors by presenting:

• Editorial
• Frequently-asked-questions (FAQs) on euthanasia,
• Euthanasia attitudes of people across the globe,
• Interviews with the Euthanasia Research & Guidance Organization (ERGO!) and the International Anti-Euthanasia Task Force (IAETF),
• Religious attitudes on euthanasia,
• Indian law on euthanasia,
• A profile on 'Dr. Death' - Jack Kevorkian,
• Living wills, etc.
• A Euthanasia Awareness Survey conducted amongst the doctors of our hospitals - to find out what really goes on in the minds of the people who matter.
